Key Ingredients & Their Benefits in Natural Hair & Skin Care

Babassu Oil: is firming, moisturizing, and melts into
the skin upon contact. It has a mild, neutral fragrance and a light
consistency that absorbs easily into the skin.
Baobab Oil: is a rich, premium emollient for skin that contains vitamins and omega fatty acids that helps soothe dry and itchy skin.
Bentonite Clay: Is thought to remove toxins from the body. It is used to detoxify and to remove impurities from the skin.
Calendula Extract: Effective soothing and moisturizing properties, especially good for irritated skin
Camellia Oil: camellia seed oil is a gentle moisturizer that nourishes and hydrates
Castor Oil: rich in triglycerides and fatty acids, castor oil is an excellent emollient leaving the skin soft and smooth
Clary Sage Essential Oil: offers anti-inflammatory,
anti-bacterial, and stress relief properties. It is thought to help
sooth sore muscles and improve mood. 
Cranberry Seed Oil: high in antioxidants, cranberry seed oil is great to combat environmental stressors. 
Dead Sea Salt: nutrient rich salt which contains numerous key elements and has proven to be one of the best therapeutic salts available.
French Clay: detoxifies, exfoliates and clarifies skin from impurities.
Glycolic Acid: can reduce the appearance of fine lines,
irregular pigmentation, age spots & decreases enlarged pores.   It
is widely used to rejuvenate the skin by encouraging the shedding of old
surface skin cells
Grape Seed Oil: contains a powerful antioxidant
ingredient called proanthocyanin. This antioxidant may even
out skin tone when it's used on your skin consistently.
Hyaluronic Acid: most powerful moisturizer and
humectant available. It provides smoothness and softening to the skin
and can reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
Jasmine Green Tea Extract: loaded with antioxidants, it
helps to soothe the appearance of redness and increase clarity and
balance in blemish-prone skin. Good for all skin types.
Jojoba Pearls: highly effective exfoliation without the
abrasiveness, works to soften the skin while being very mild and
suitable for sensitive skin
Jojoba Protein: is an effective moisturizer, and is thought to improve the appearance of aged skin and fines lines and wrinkles.
Kokum Butter: rich in triglycerides, kokum butter is used as a natural treatment to prevent dry skin.
Kukui Nut Oil: has high levels of oleic and linoleic
essential fatty acids moisturize the skin. It also contains vitamins A,
C, and E, thought to protect the skin and prevent free-radical damage.
Lavender Oil:  anti-inflammatory, said to be soothing and healing for irritated skin.
Magnesium Chloride: the minerals in the water are
absorbed into your skin, helping to relax muscles, reduce cramping and
spasms, restore red blood cells and reduce inflammation.
Mango Butter: is packed with antioxidants, nourishes the scalp, adds strength and luster to the hair.
Marlua Oil: light emollient excellent for sensitive skin.
Matcha Tea: antioxidant rich, anti-bacterial and
anti-inflammatory properties, Matcha has large amounts of vitamin B2
& E which help with collagen production.
Meadowfoam Seed Oil: excellent moisturizer with a non-greasy feel.
Moringa Oil: is said to have moisturizing, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory and natural antiseptic properties.
Olive Squalane Oil: high level of oleic acid which stimulates healing, calms and balances and repairs skin.
Organic Aloe: is a potent moisturizer, invigorating and
soothing agent which has been shown to improve the appearance of aging
and dry skin, making skin feel more resilient and supple.
Organic Calendula Flower: Effective soothing and moisturizing properties especially suitable for the sensitive and irritated skin
Organic Chia Seed Oil: strengthens and moisturizes the
skin. Chia also improves the skins barrier function, helps regenerate
skin cells, and has anti-inflammatory properties. It is thought to also
help diminish the appearance of dark spots.
Organic Coconut Milk: is an effective moisturizer high in vitamin C & E, which have anti-aging properties, helping with skin tone and texture.

Organic Rose Hip Oil: is a premium moisturizer, leaves

appearance of aging skin and is ideal for distressed and/or sensitive

Organic Shea Oil: is a wonderful humectant and is thought to improve skin elasticity
Pearl Powder:  contains 14-18 amino acids and more than
a dozen minerals. Pearl powder nourishes and moisturizes the skin. It
has been shown to improve the appearance of aged skin and has
a skin-lightening effect.
Raspberry Seed Oil: Effective emollient leaving the
skin soft, smooth and conditioned while having a nourishing and
revitalizing effect as it penetrates the skin
Rice Milk: anti-inflammatory benefits that help treat
sensitive skin also providing vitamin A and calcium to the skin, thought
to reduce appearance of fine line and wrinkles.
Rose Hip Oil: is a premium moisturizer, leaves the skin
soft, smooth and hydrated. It has been shown to improve the appearance
of aging skin and is ideal for distressed and/or sensitive skin.
Rose Hydrosol: has skin-softening, humectant, rejuvenating, and anti-aging properties.
Safflower Oil: is rich in essential fatty acids and is highly moisturizing oil that also smooths the skin.
Sweet Almond Oil contains fatty acids, vitamins A & E, and penetrates easily into the skin.  
White Tea Extract: loaded with polyphenols, white tea works as an antioxidant, anti-aging and skin-soothing cosmetic treatment. 

Key ‘Free Of’ Terms

Sulfates: petroleum-based products that give lather to ingredients. Can irritate eyes, skin, and lungs. May be contaminated with carcinogens from the manufacturing process. They are tested on animals, and associated with climate change, pollution and greenhouse gases.

Silicone: silicones prevent additional moisture from getting into your skin, creating an effective barrier. However, the materials in silicone can dehydrate your pores and throw your skin's natural regulatory processes off-balance. Can congest pores and interferes with cell renewal.

Parabens: are able to penetrate the skin and remain within tissue. Parabens cause skin irritation, inflammation and can cause rashes/burning sensations on skin. They penetrate deeply within
the skin and disrupt hormone function as they mimic estrogen. Paraben use has been linked to breast cancer and reproductive issues.

Phthalates: are plasticizing chemicals that are considered probable human reproductive, developmental toxins and endocrine disruptors. Phthalates cause reproductive birth defects in
laboratory animals, particularly in males.

Dyes: can cause allergic reactions and certain dyes can clog your pores. A few types of dyes are even carcinogenic. Using products with dyes you can become more prone to blemishes. They are used only to create a more attractive product and we believe they have no place in skin and haircare.

Mineral Oil: petroleum byproduct created from gasoline
production. It can be contaminated with toxins as it must go through
significant purification to remove carcinogens from it. Mineral oil
creates a barrier on the skin and therefore can trap debris and bacteria in the skin. It is not biodegradable, or renewable and offers no benefit to the skin. For the lack of benefit and the sourcing material, we do not use any in our products.
